Mr. R. L. Robinson, of Manakau, recently judged the calf rearing competitions staged at the Marlborough School by the Boys' and Girls' Agricultural Club of that district. He was accompanied by Mrs. Robinson. • Miss J. E. Linklater and Mr. I. J. Doyle, probationary assistants at the Levin Primary School, have eompleted 'their ' period of teaching training with the end of this year. They have not yet received advice of whether or not they will receive transfers. Miss M. J.rRan-. some will transfer to Poroutawhao as assistant teacher. She will be replaced by Miss Carr,. of Levin, who has this year been teaching at Wanganui. Three relieving teachers whose appointments automatically cease with the close of the year, but who may be reengaged next year, are Miss N. J. Walker and Mesdames E. E. Chaphian and I. Gdodwiu, J
