SMALL BOY DROWNED.
NELSON, Dec. 18.Alichael .John Franklin, aged 1 year 8 months, was drowned in a creelc at Hira on Saturday afternoon. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. N. Franklin,' and their livi" children, spent the aiterat the Hira Scliool break-up fuuction. Soon after retuming home about (5 p.m., the youngest boy was uoticed to be missing after a few minutes and was found in a sniall stream about 150 yards from the liouse. Artifieial respiration was unavailing.
