Fat sheep were yarded in smaller numbers and prices were fully firrn on late rates, the quality being good throughout, Fat cattle also sold well, ox beef being in short supply. Quotations: — Fat sheep: Heavy prime ewes, 27s lOd to 29s 4d: lighter do., 26s; heavy prime wethers, 42s lOd to 43s 7d, medium do., 40s to 41s lOd; fat hoggets, 39s lOd to 42s 7d; fat lambs, 38s 7d to 43s 4d. Pigs: Light porkers, £4 3s to £5 3s; medium to heavy do., £5 5s to £5 16s; baconers, £5 18s 6d to £7 4s. Fat cattle: Light vealers, £4 7s 6d to £7 12s 6d; heavy do., £8 2s 6d to £12 7s 6d; medium to heavy ox, £22 12s 6d to £25 2s 6d; light do., £18 12s 6d; prime heifers, £16 7s 6d to £17 12s 6d; medium do., £15 7s 6d; light do., £10 7s 6d to £12 7s 6d; cows, ex-dairy, £8 to £10 2s 6d; store cows, £5 to £8 7s 6d.
