Tito Puts Soviet Citizens On Trial
Received Thursday 7.40 p.m. B1L£RADE, Dec. L The first spy trial of Soviet citizens in a Coriimuhist coufiftry, was oponed today before the District Court at Sarajevo. Twelve White Russian emigres described as "White Guardists," are involved, including an orthodox priest. They are being tried under a law covering crimes against the people and State, including espionage and sabotage, and earrying penalties varying from two to twenty years' hard labour. The speeific eharges against them include collaboration with the Nazis and subversive activities on behalf of Russia and the Comniform against Tito 's regime.
