Field Day Against Malayan Terrorists

Received Thursday 7.40 p.m. SINGAPORE, Dec. 1. British troops had a field day in the Malayan jungle yesterday, accounting for 27 Communist guerrillas. The Second Guards Brigade. operating in central and west Malaya, killed 12 terrorists while an'other four surrendered. In eentrai Selangor a bandit gang rau into a Coldstream ambush and a sergeant killed t'our with a stengun. Another four guerrillas were killed in the Raub area of Pahang. One member of a Malay regiment was killed in this engagement. Two other Malays and a European liason officer were wounded. The Devons killed one guerrilla and eaptured two women members of the gang, in the Semantan area of Pahang, suffering four wounded themselves.
