Prices for medmm. quality wools : when 'ihe Lon'don wool. saies resums'd not only Gonfirmed the recent big" advances, but showed a cendeney to harden further, states the London Opmmittee of Wool Brokers. lThe offerings totalled 25,092 bales, 4neluding' 11,487 from New Zealand. There . was a- very keen demand. Among the ftner wools shqwn , were soijie eayjy ^hprn thalfbred clips from tlie Marlborough disr trict, Which made up to 61d, all prices being * fu-ly in line with vhose paid last week for similar wools. Several goo'd consignments of scoured wools on account of merchants account sold freely at last week's advanced prices, as did many lots of crutchings of scoured on account of growers. The latter made prices up to 54|d to and were largely /bought by firms in the carpet trade. A few scoured clips from the West Coast sold at up to 81^d for a smali lot of halfbred wpoI from Hawera. A good selection of slipes met a persistent demand. at recent recent advanced pric.es and the total clearance for the day's selling exoeeded 99 per cent."
