Received Thursday, 10.35 p.m. NEW YORK, Nov. 30. The nation 's 400,000 soft eoal miners : tonight began a strike which a union official said would undoubtedly last some time. The strike is over the failure of United .Mineworkers to negotiate a new wage contract with the coaj mine ownersi- Midnight tonight marked the end of the three weeks' truce called by Mr. John L. Lewis, the miners' president. It is the fourth time this year that the miners have gone on strike. The United Press said a survey showed that the majority of miners appeared to be against the strike and there appeared 1 to" be growing unrest in some coalfields. | One miner said there was none of the Jaughter that preceded previous strikes, ..
