CANTON AREA BOMBED

Received Thursday 10.35 p.m. HONG KONG, Dec. 1. Nationalist bombers today raided Canton. Chinese reports say three aircraft flew over the city this morning and bombed a portion of the industrial area causing considerable damage. Tlie British Consul-General, Mr J. P. Coghill, said there was no damage or casualties on Shameen Island where most foreigners live.
