Reeeived Tuesday 7 p.m. LONDCIf, Nov. 29. Higher railway- freight charges foreeast by the Transport Minister, Mr Barnes, in the Commons yesterday, will push up the cost of living and the price of Britain 's two basic produets, coal and steel, says the Daily Mail. Rising prices of many export goods are feared. A spokesman of the National Union of Manufacturers said: "It is^ particularly regrettable at the moment when the manufaeturer is being urged and exhorted not to make any increase in* the price of /his goods, that the Government should set sueh an unfortunate example .in raising the cost of freightage.
