Claims Heir To Hermit's Hoard

Received Sunday, 7 p.m. SYDNEY, Nov. 20. A mine pensioner, John Mutton, aged 62, claims he is the sole heir to the miser's* hoard found in a biscuit tin and jars in thq.hut of a dead hermit on the West Coast of New Zealand. The dead man, who is stated to be a brother of John Mutton, is believed by residents of West Wallsend to have left the district for New Zealand 40 years ago when a strike kept him from his work at the Seaham colliery. John Mutton said he last saw his brother when he visited New Zealand 25 years ago.
