Princess Elizabeth In Malta

Received Monday, 9.15 a.m. VALETTA, Nov. 20. The Duke of Edinburgh was the first to greet Princess Elizabeth when she reached Malta. He was accompanied by E-arl Mountbatten, whose wife travelled with the Princess. Thousands of people waving and cheering lined the streets of Valetta to welcome Princess Elizabeth when she arrived at Malta to join the Duke of Edinburgh today — their second wedding anniversary. The Duke, surrounded by highranking officers and officials, wait- • ed half an hour in cold winds before the Royal Viking plane in whieh the Princess travelled touched down at the airport. The aircraft's crew said that they had a splendid trip. After the official reception Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh were driven through crowded streets to Lord Mountbatten's villa where the Princess will stay.
