Lucky Escape When Tiger Moth Crashes

BLENHEIM, Nov. 20. Two occupants of a Tiger Moth aircraft escaped with nothing more serious than a severe shaking when the plane crashed at Lower Wairau early this morning. They were David Lewis Allen, aged 21, the pilot, and Miss 1J. Greenwood, both of Blenheim. The plane was eircling over the Wairau River when the pilot attempted a steep tuni in whicb the aircraft stalled and before he recovered a wing struck a willow tfee. The aircraft came to rest , against a stopbank. The machine was considerably damaged but the occupants were unhurt.
