COLLEGE WIN AGAIN IN JUNIOR GRADE
Ccfllefge had >an outright win over Foxton by 24 runs and thus secured their third successive eight-point victory in the junior competition. College batted first and made 51 runs, Lind and Cameron topping the scores with eight each. In their first innings Foxton failed badly against the hostile College bowling and were all out for 17. Lind took seven wiekets for 5 and Southcombe three for 4. College deelared their second innings ciosed with four down for 66. The main contributors were Lind (19), Southcombe (15), Cam- / eron (11) and Harris (10). Foxton fared much better in their second vlsit to the wicket and were all out for 76. Harris (four for 15) and Lind (three for 11) did the damage for the College. Shannon's Eiglit-Pointer. Shannon B scored an eight point win over Otaki B in the match played at tlie Otaki Domain. In their first innings Shaninpn 'made 130. The top scorers 'were Clough (32), Seaton (32) and Roberts (22) . Bowling for Otaki, Templey captured three wiekets for 37 and S. Bell three for 43. In their first visit to the wicket Otaki gained a total of 53, of Which. Julius collected 31. In the second innings Julius again came to the fore with a sparkling 51. Hobbs took three wiekets for Shannon, at the cost of 21 runs. Roberts captured three for 21. Kuku's First Defeat. Kuku suffered their first defeat of (the season when their two innings' total failed to reach the single innings' score made by ' Manakau. Having first use- of the wicket, Manakau deelared with 176 runs for the loss of six wiekets. The four highest scorers were N. Atkins (54), Williams (32), Stentiford (25) and Grey (25 not out), In the bowling L. Holder took three wiekets for 33Lrqns, J.. Pilgrim two for 35 and S. Pilgrim one for 27. In their first visit to the wicket Kuku were all out for 93, the top scorers being L, Holder (46) and J. Horn (19). Their second innings yielded only 40 runs. L. Holder with 10 runs and E.
