Mushet) said that tho year past had been one of rocord givi-ng by. congregations. They contributed £h0,900 to the missionary enterprise of the church, only £78 short of the bud-' geted objeetive. The total receipts from all'sources amounted to £77,123 which" was £1308 more than the estimated tOr tal requirements. "Because of the year 's over-expenditure which was exceeded .bv the estitnate by £2865 there had been a deiicit on the .year's work-. ing," said Mr Mushet. "This is not due to any slump in congregation returns but to expenditure which was unavoidable.
