British Interest In Dental NurseTraining
AUCKLAND, Nov. 8. "The British Government is very interested in the New Zealand scHeme for' training dental nurses to care for primary school children and the Department of Health is investigating the possibility of adopting a similar scheme for Britain," said Mr G. Lawrence Taylor of Auckland, on his return today. He represented the New Zealand Dental Association at the British Dental Conference at Scarborough. "There are insufficient dental nurses in Britain for the free dental service under the national health scheme," Mr Taylor stated. "Many people have to wait months before obtaining appointments. Children are the worst sufferera as many of the qualified men on the school dental elinie staff have started in more lucrative private practieeB."
