Wool Prices Touch Highest Points Since War
Received Monday, 8.25 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 7. Prices in the Dominion markets eontinued to dominate conditions in Yorkshire where top and yarn prices show further advanees in response to wool at the souree, states the International Wool Secretariat Speeial News Service. Increases in top quotations last week were the most striking of the season, being 3d per lb. in some cases, and they bring the Merino top market to almost the highest point yet quoted since the war, while all crossbred tops | are now quoted at the highest prices since the war. • j The Joint Organisation has earned j the thanks of the industry by announeing a speeially generous offering of New Zealand crossbreds for the next London wool saies opening on November 21, this being an effort to avoid a temporary shortage here pending the arrival of the first of the new season clips from New Zealand. Current Bradford top market quotations are: 70's "A", 127d; "B", 123d; 64 's "A", HSd to 119d; " B ", 115d; 60's Super, 106d; average, 103d; 58 's super, 91d; average, 88d to 89d; 56 's super, 73d; 50 's, 53d; 48 's, 50d; 56 's, 48d.
