W.C.T.U. Has Talk On Work Of Boys' Home

A most interesting talk on the work at the Hodderville Boys' Home, Putaruru, . was given by Lieutenant' M. Kennerley at a recent meeting of the Levin Women's Christian Temperance Union. The speaker was accorded a vote of thanks, proposed by Mrs. Kings, and presente'd with a posy of spring flowers. . A vote of thanks was extended to all those who had assisted with the arrangements for the recent convention, after which the local delegate to the convention, Mrs. Burnham, gave a detailed and interesting report of the business attended to. It was decided that members distribute temperance literature in view of the fortheoming poll. Mrs. Kennerley, who presided at the meeting, conducted the devotional period and extended a welcome to Mrs. Bishop on her return from Australia.
