English Cricket Lacks Slow Bowlers
WELLiNGTON, Nov. 4. English cricket lacked good slow bowlers. said Rev. E. ^O. Blamires, the well-known former New Zealahd . cricketer, on his return to Wellington on the Athenic from England today. There were no Veritvs and this deficiency, he said, had made itself very much epparent. Actually Fnelish cricket had not recovered yet from the setbacks suffered *h rough the war. Mr Blamires said that he saw Ihe New Zealand t.est team play-i-ify several times in England and thr-re was no doubt that they had I'iven "a .iolly good show." Howf vf- the same anplied to the New Zealand team — it possessed few f ood slow bowlers.
