Good Trout Catches In Lake Tarawera
ROTORUA, Nov. 2. The best opening of the season reported for some yetfrs was the experience of three anglers at Lake Tarawera vesterday. This lake has been moro notevvorthy in reeent seasons for its end-of -season eatches, and the suecess of this Rotorua trio — Aressrs A. H. Gleeson, F. Burns and J. L. Wells — is, therefore, moro noteworthy. Fishing in davlight both from the lake shore and from a boat the three men caught 14 rainbow trout. Three vvere throvvn back and the remainder aggregated 7111b. One turned the seale at 141b, another at 8Ub, and two at 81b. All the fish retained were in good condition, and were feeding on smelt.
