Supreme Importance Of Renaissance Of Asia
Received Tuesday 9.50 p.m. NEW YORK, Oct. 31. Pandit Nehru said today that the renaissance of Asia was a change of supreme importance in the world scene. He was addressing 10,000 students and visitors in the California University openair stadium at San Francisco in the third and last major politieal speech of his Ameriean tour. National freedom was the first ossential in India, and some of the Asian territory still under colonial domination must have freedom. The economic betterment of the Asian masses was equally essential both from their point of view and the point of view of world peace and stability. This would involve progressivfe industrialisation and the United States could play a vital role in this task.
