Snails By The Hundred, Keen rivalry at present exists between a certain ■ section of local home gardeners as to who can catch the greater number of snails in a night. Early in the season primitive hand methods were adopted, with the gardenejrs spending many sleepless nights. However, one morning a competitor announced that he had secured over 200 victims with a special preparation. This preparation has now made its appearance in most of the gardens and the casualty lists have grown to as many as 350 snails in one night. The borough should be free from this pest if these gardeners continue much longer.
