Returned Servicemen Hold Smoke Concert

Over 150 returned servicemen gathered in the Tokomaru Hall last Saturday evening, when members of the Shannon -braneh of the R.S.A. entertained their comrades from the Tokomaru and Opiki subbranches at a smoke concert. Entertainment was provided by [members of the Shannon braneh. The customary toast list was honoured with Mr. V. J. Bateman as toastmaster. In introducing Mr. H. B. Burdekin, of Levin, a member of the Dominion executive and exDominion vice-president, Mr. Bateman made mention of the excellent work done by Mr. Burdekin
