two caives witmn seven aays is the unique achievement of a 10-year-old Jersey cow owned by Mr. J. H. Percy, of Opiki. On October 21 the cow gave birth to a ealf slightly deformed in the front legs and promptly disowned her progeny. The calf was taken away and the cow went back to milking, but yesterday morning I produced yet another bull-calf, this time quite normal in all respects. After an injection of cal- , cium the cow soon recovered and. is mothering her second calf with the utmost affection.
