Division Garden Circle's Afternoon

^ j Though the weather was overcast and showery, the garden circle of the Women's Division of Federated Farmers enjoyed an entertaining and instructive afternoon on Saturday at ihe residence of Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Myers, Queen Street. Tulips were the flowers of special interest. Some lovely blooms were displayed by members and Mr. Myers discussed their different merits. His talk on ■ tulip culture, sta.ges of growth and habits of hybridising showed that Mr. Myers had made a wide and interesting study of this brightest of spring flowers. He had blooms raised from seed , which he had pollinated, and which had taken five years to complete the cycle of growth. The function terminated following afternoon tea and the expression of thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Myers for their hospitality.
