For some time past it has been a subject of disappointment with many Who contributed finance that the learners' swimming pool had not been constructed at the Otaki State School. The school committee reiterated from time to time that the sole erason was the ghortage of cement, and a permit could not be obtained. Now comes Advice that the local committee can proceed. At the meeting held by the committee on Tuesday night it was agreed that the Education Board be asked to submit plans forthwith, and the committee decided' to build the learners' pool by the Hume process.
