Woman Accused Of Theft Found Dead

WELLINGTON, Oct. 7. "I ask leave to withdraw the charge, Sir. Accused was found dead at her home this morning." Sub-Inspector Brown stated this in the Magistrate's Court- today when the name of an el'derly woman was called to answer a charge of the theft of a purse and its contents. On the application of counsel, an order was made for the suppression of depeased's name. The woman was charged on Saturday and had been remanded until today. The charge was struck out today by the magistrate, Mr. J. S. Hanna.
