Tennis Coach To Assist Local Players
Otaki and district tennis players are to be given an opportunity of ooachiiig by the visiting Australian star, D. Pails. He will be available to the Manawatu Lawn Tennis Association from November 2 lO 8. The management committee of the association asks affiliated clubs to advise by Oetober 17 the names of their members who would be interested in availing themselves of the services of the visitor. It is pointed out that the greatest benefit would accrue if the coaching were held at one centre, thereby making the most of the coache's time by eliminating travelling. Members are, therefore, asked to intimate whether they would be prepared to travel to Palmerston North, or, alternatively, their nearest centre. It is the inlention of the assoeiation's management committee to formulate a scheme to enable country members to benefit from the visiting coach's services, and it is hoped that each member may receive from half to one hour's coaching each day, for which a small charge • will probably be made. Otaki members are asked to contact their club captain (Mr. Alan Keeling, Manakau) or secretary (Mrs. Ian Taylor, Waikanae) without further delay if they desire to avail themselves of the opportunity presented.
