Fine But Cool Days In September

Temperatures during September were cool and:a totkl of fivjeifr.osts included two heavy ones early in the month and another heavy one at the end of the month. The final 10 'days of the month. ;were very windy and a heavy westerly ratner nuliified the little rain that f ell during the latter stages of the month. Rain fell rather sparingly throughout, with the total of 176 points, considerably less than the 203 points that fell in September last year. A rather rare occurence was noted by the recorder, Mr. F. H. Critchley, Tasman Beach, in that the highest fall of 37 points was registered both on fhe 12 and 26 of the month.. Rainfell on 12 days, with the remain-. ing 18 days cairn at 9.30 a.m. Snow fell twice on the ranges.
