Large Sum To Be Spent On Refineries
LONDON, Sept. 29. Tke Economic Cooperation Administration has agreed to provide £6,176,000 to expand two large oil refining plailts in the United Kingdom. The first jta at Shellhaven, near Stanford in jBssex, and owned by the Shell Compafiy. The second is at Llandarcy in- Sofith Wales and is owned by a e'ubSidiary company of Anglo-Iranian. r Extensions to the Shell Compa'njr.'fe plant will increase its capacity frob 8000 barrels daily to several tiiiies that amount1 by 1952. The Llandarcy Sproject calls for the expansi&rt Of ie finery capacity from 7500 barrels daily Ito about 43,000 barrels daily in three years' time.
