WELLINGTON, Sept.- 29.- . An increase of a half-penny in the" price of bread is sought by the New "Zealand Federation'" of Bakers and Pastry.cooks in an application today before the' Price Tribunal. The' federation is ' asking for & half-pemiy iricrdase on evefy loaf up "to tfao pounds ih \^eight. As ih the trade a four-pound loaf i£ regarded as 'two two-pound loaves, the incease sought 'where a ' fdurpound loaf is'sold as an entity is one penny. The schedule submitted by the federation. dealing with the .profit results of 43 .companips. e.ngaged £n the bread-.making jndustry showed 18' of .them, or .approximateiy 42 per cent., had made an actual loss oh last year's .trading. .
