English 'Cellist's Visit Rouses Interest

A great deal of interest is being shown in the forthcoming recital by Miss Peers "Coetmore, the brilliant English 'cellist. Musical critics in the leading English and Continental papers pay tribute to her brilliant performance and remarkable technique, her diversity of skill and musical exnression. Miss Coetmore will-be accompanied by Miss Dorothy Davips, a pianist well kiiown to New Zealand radio au'diences. An added attraction of particular interest to Levin will be a group of vocal solos by Mrs. Daphne Ellwood, who has recently had outstanding success at the competitions. Music lovers in this district seldom have the opportunity of having locally a programme of this calibre. It will be presented in the Horowhenua College assembly hall on Thursday at 8 p.m.
