Mr. Keith J. Holyoake, the sitting member, being the only nomination of the National Party as candidate for the , Pahiatua eiectorate, has been declared the offlcial candidate at the general election. Mr. F. H. Hudson was welcomed as the Horowhenua County Council representative on the .Palmerston North Hospital Board yesterday. He replaces Mr. A. J.. Gimblett who retired for health reasons.
