"Will the Minister reque'st th^ Magistrate either to produce evidence of these soealled wife-beatings and to substantiate the sweeping charge that this is the normal practice 6r to withdraw this serious allegation against the Maori people and to make such amends as the circumstances may warrant?" asked Mr. Paikea.
