GREYMOUTH, Sept. 21. To enable employees of the Wallsend and Dobson State mines to see the rugby league match West Coast versus Australia- at Greymouth today arrangements were made yesterday for employees to work only a six-hour shift today: At the Strongman and Liverpool mines, however, no such arrangement was made but absenteeism there today was the worst for a long time. At Liverpool only about 50 men reported for work underground this morning against the normal underground complement of 230.. This was insufflcient for the main haulage rope to be run, with the result that no coal was actually produced. The position was slightly better at Strongman, where the iope was run but production will be small
