Indoor Basketball Title--Holders Beaten
HAMILTON, Sept. 21. The decisive defeat of Palmerston North, 1948 title^holders, by Hamilton was the feature of play in the national men's indoor bas-= ketball tournament at Bledislpe Hall last night. Hamilton won by 60-19. Hamilton worked tirelessly throughout and impressed as a yery fast combinatiop, functioning essentially as a team. Palmerston North had little counter, its relatively small SGore coming mostly from loose play and a few set shots from the sideline. In one of the most exciting games of the tournament, Welling-. ton downed Auckland, 36-26.
