AUCKLAND, Sept. 12. For tlie past day or two Mt. Euapehu and Mt. Ngauruhoe liave been showing increasing signs of activitySeveral shots of steam up to 500ft have been seen from Taupo. At dusk today only a slow thin column of steam was seen rising from Mt. Euar pehu. There were no signs of any activity from Ngauruhoe. Ruapehu is still' coated with a heavy mantle of snow but Ngauruhoe appears to. be eovered with ash.
