LONDON, Sept. 11. An old house named ''The Villa" at( Bowes, Cumberland, which was the original of Diekens's Dotheboys Hall in "Nieholas Xicklebv," has reeently been turned into a cafe. During the war the house served as temporary aecummodation for troops evaeuatod from Dunkirk, and until re-e.-ntlv it was still in the possession of two elderly ladies who are direct de-S'-endant of Willi.m Shaw, who_ was u -i'i ! iiy Diekens as the prototvpe of V.'-o-ktord Sipieers.
