RAHUI JUNIORS SCORE OVER WAIKANAE
^Jndefeated in their previous eight appearances, Rahui juniors won again -at Waikanae oh Saturday. The win on this occasion was not very convincing, the home side fielding a scratch team, but the victors alteredf thieir tactics and did mdst of their best work in the first half, to lead 9-0 at the end of the spell. The kick saw IndCc'ision on the flag holders' part ahd was ruled not over.. Rahui forwards revisited the ' defending twenty-five again and, picking up smartiy in the face of a clearing rush, L. Contrary to expectations, with the wind in their favour Rahui did not gather many more points in the. second spell, some fine saves being executed by the home side who, with Sweetman, Edwin, Parata, T. Fox and Brown always prominent, paid many visits tq Rahui's fwjenty-five. The defence of Connor was sound, however. Following a line-out as a resuit of a fine clearing kick by Connor, Bell set Rahui's backs racing and the ball went right along the line to Matthews, who scored. BCfore the close of play a penalty kick by Brown saw Waikanae's only points secured and the game ended Rahui 12, Waikanae 3. Mr. M. Johnson was the referee.
