Record Holiday Deaths In United States
Received Tuesdav, 10.30 p.m. NEW YOEK, Sept. 5. The United -Press says a death record for the American Labour DaV holiday at the weekend, was established by this year's acbidents. A survey shows that between Friday evening and Monday night, holiday deaths totalled 421, which is the highest ever. Three hundred and twentv-one were caused by traffic accidents, 39 by drowning, 19 in air erashes and 42 from miscelTaneous oauses. For the same period last year the death roll was 302.
