News Brevities From Ohau
— ("Chronicle" Correspondent) The third series of eard evenings" conducted in aid of the Ohau School was completed last week, the winners being Mrs. A. Holder (ladies) and Mr. T. George (men) . The successful players for the evening were Mrs. Hill an'd Mr. J. Bowling, with the consolation prizes going to Mrs. W. McLeavey and Mr. W. Bowling. The points prize for the series was kindly donated by Mr. J. G. Horn. The evenings are proving so enjoyable that a fourth series . of five nights is to be conducted. There will be prizes for ladies and men each night and also a points prize, There was a large attendance of players at the Ohau Indoor Bowling Club's piaying night on Saturday. Mrs. J. Bowling, H. Wehipeihana, Mrs. J. G. Horn and C. Greenwood (s) iifted the Horn Buttons from Jim Horn's team, which had held them for the previous two weeks. i Offlcers elected for the ensuing year at the annual meeting of the Ohau Hall Society were: — Chairman: Mr. S. C.,Saint; secretary: Mrs. F. Fanning; committee: Mesdames J. GUerin, Hudson and H. Murray and Messrs J. G. Horn, S. Bowling, J. Bowling and E. Pilgrim,
