WELLINGTON, Aug. 30. The Government would provide £1 .for £1 up to a limit of £1750 for the work of the New Zealand Research Ins.itute of Launderers, Dfy-cleaners and Dyers, said the IVlinister of Scientific and Industhal Research, Mr. McCombs, opening today 's annual conventioh and exhibition of the institute. Mufih Was to be gsined from the instiiute's work, ad'ded the Minister, and some Government institutions and hospitals which had large laundries attached belonged to it. All would benefit from more efflcieni laundering of clothes and from the longer life they would be given. The institute's research ofRcer, Mr. P. C. Coates, wou]d be going iverseas shortly to study laundry developments.
