WELLINGTON, August 2o. The Postmaster-Oeneral, Mr. Hackett, said tonight that under an order gazetted tonight, certain N.Z. postage stamps would be demonetised from December 31 next. This was tlie normal procedure carried out every t'ew y-ears. Tlie isues aftiected are the pictorial issue 1935 including postal stationery bearing tlie impression of any 1935 pictorial issue, the airmail stamps of 1935, health stamps of ' 1937-45 inclusive, the coronation issue of 1937, the centennial issue of 1940, the express delivery (6d) stamxis 1903 and 1939 and Government life insurance stamps (original 1905) srnall type.
