Keen Contest At Golf For Stewart Trophy
A full attendance of club members assembled at the Otaki links to compete iecently in the corribined foursome f6r the beautiful silver salvers donated by Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Stewart. , Ideal weather conditions prevailed and many good cards were recorded. Honours fell to T. Mansell and Mrs. G. Sutherland, who, despite the heavy ground, returned a nett score of 71. The runnersup were A. Harper and Miss C. Clarke, who returned 73 nett. Mr. C. W. Stewart was in lively vein when he presented the trophies. He congratulated both the winners and the runners-up on the meritorious performances they had given. Mr. Mansell acknowledged the tributes paid and suitably responded.
