Hospitality And Help For Dutch Soldier
The communication from a Dutch soldier to Mr. J. C. Meyer, ■ Otaki Railway, recently published in "The Chronicle," wherein the writer solicited work, will apparently have a happy outcome. ' A further letter to Mr. Meyer advises that the writer, Sergeant M. G. Romjin, has had three offers of help from Otaki residents. | The information that the New iZealand Government has appealed |for 200 Dutch soldiers to emigrate ito this country is considered by Mr. Romjin as likely to be a great ihelp to him. A selection com.mittee is to visit the Dutch Indies land Mr. Romjin hopes to be able jto write Mr. Meyer after the visit of the selection committee with 'advice that he is coming to Otaki. The communication pointed out that the selection committee had to be assured that work had been found for th'e emigran'ts.
