Australian Rugby Team at Whakatane
AUCKLAND, August 18. Seven ckanges havn been made in +he Australian Rugby team to play Bav of Plenty at Whakatane on Salurday. New players included are Fogartv, the fast diminutive, wing-three-quarter; Cawsey, half-back; Solomon, who toured New Zealand with the Australian Universities' team at first five-eighths; Brockboff, another Universities' player on the side of the sc.rum; K. Gordon, lock; B. Wilson, front row and D. PurnesB, hooker. The team is as follows: Fullback, Piper; three-quarters, Garner, Allan, Fogarty; five-eighths, Blomlev, 6>olomon; halfback, Cawsey; front row, Wilson, Furness, Baxter; middle row, Windon, N. Shehadie, Gordon, Brockhoff; back row, Cornforth^ Emery is still suffering from an injured shoulder but this is not considered serious. All the other players are fit with the exception of Broad, fir3t five-eighths, who is etill recovering from a knee injury received in Australia. The Australians arrived at Whakatane this afternoon and were welcomfed by the Mayor, Mr. B. S. Barry, and the president of the Bay of Plenty Eugby Fnion, Mr. W. S. Henderson. Bay of Plenty players will assemble there on Saturday. The following is the Bay team: Fullback, E. Welch; throe-quarters, B. McGougan, F. Marton, S. Morrison; five-eighths, J. Goldsmith, K. Stillivan ; halfback, L. Eaureti; front row, W. Trotman, E. Goddard, .T. Dobolinsky; middle row, S. MeLaughlin, H. Eanapia, P. Ratahi, V»r. Moses; back row, J. Ririnui.
