NEW SOUTH WALES CROPS NEED RAIN
SYDNEY , August 18, The New South Wales Weather Bureau states that dry weather in the New South Wales wheat belt 'has reached a critical stage, with rain below normal sinee the beginning of June. In the past two months rainfall in the Eiverina has been 46 per cent. below the average, barelv enough to keep erops growing, and not enough to build up a reserve of moisture for the critical spring period.
