CANNOT ADVERTISE MEETING OVER RADIO

WELLINGTON, August 12. The Mlnister in charge of Broadeasting (Hon F. Jones) said today that an application to advertise a meeting at which the speaker was to be Mr H. Barnes, national president of the Waterside Workers' Union, had been received by Station 1ZB. The application had been refused as the meeting was in support of an illegal action by members of the union.
