WELLINGTON, August 11. In the llouse of Representatives today, Mr. A. .S. Sutherland (Hauraki) gave notice to ask the Minister .of Labour if he would considef" 4 'putting into top gear the various matters he has under consideration for settling the trouble on the Auckland waterfront." Mr. Sutherland said there were 56,000 tons of cargo for manufacturers, busjnessmen and private citizens awaiting discharge in Auckland. Mr. MeLagan objected that the question was out of order, being couehea "in an ironical maimer. " Opposition voice: Not too irqnical. , Mr. F. W. Dqidge (to Mr. Sutherland) : Ought i^ot your question to be addressed to Mr. Barnes? Mr. Speaker said he thought Mr. Sutherland is question had been asked before in another way. -.It would. be examined before being placed on the order paper.
