AUCKLAND, August ll. The Auckland watersiders at a largely attended monthly stopwork meeting in tlie Town Hall today recommended the national office of their union to disaffiliate from the New Zealand Labour Party. It is uuderstood there was a strong body of dissent. The rift between the union aild tlu Government, which hks been ffapparent for some time, has been hastened by t.lie present crisis on the waterfroiit. . Today 's meeting passed a resolutiori eongratulatiiig Mr. F. Langstone, M.P., on his resignation from the Parliamentary Labour Party following the conscription referendum. The meetinp also carried a resolution which, in effeet, demanded. the release. froru prison of D. Healy and E. C. Roache. officials of the Australian Watersiders" Federation. x
