In view of the unsatisfactory progress on the renovation of the sanatorium buildings at Otaki, the committee decided to confer with the contractor on the matter. The managing-secretary (Mr. A. J. Phillipps) said that it was now 10 months since the arrangements were completed with the contraetors, whost time would expire in two months. At present it would appear that there was little prospect of the work being finished this year. The contractors had experienced the usual delays in obtaining certain classes of materials and their latest advice, said Mr. Phillipps, was that they expected to complete the job in about five to six months.'
